A Portrait of Prahlad-Nrisimha, 2024
(Oil on Canvas, 30” × 40”).
This portrait of Prahlad-Nrisimha began as a devotional offering in early 2022, inspired by the awe-inspiring deity of Lord Nrisimhadev in Mayapur, West Bengal. Struck by his fierce beauty and mystical presence, I felt called to serve him through painting—my most familiar medium. After receiving his darshan in Mayapur and experiencing a deeply personal spiritual transformation, I returned home with a promise: to finish what I started.
Over 178 hours, this oil painting evolved into a visual meditation, aiming to summon his divine presence onto canvas. Though fierce on the surface, subtle shifts in expression and tone reflect the Lord's hidden tenderness and mercy. This work is my humble attempt to honor both his power and his love.

Reproduction of “The Sankirtan of Lord Chaitanya” by Pariksit Das, 2018. Acrylic on Indoor Plastered Wall, 9 ft × 17 ft.

This is found inside the ‘Krishna Cove’ building at the ISKCON Tucson temple. The inspiration came from my Gurudev, His Grace Jivananda Das Vanachari, who commissioned the work. It was completed over an 11-month period. I would regularly stop over after I got off work and paint for 2-3 hours a night, 3-4 nights a week. The grand unveiling was done on Gaura-Purnima 2018.
